Mast Safety Appointed as Health & Safety Consultants on The Bishops Avenue Later Living Development

02 March 2026 |

MAST Safety is pleased to announce that we have been appointed as Health & Safety Consultants to Commercial Insulation Services Ltd (CIS) on the prestigious The Bishops Avenue construction project in Hampstead Heath.

The development is a 22,084 m² luxury later-living residence for Riverstone, a provider of exceptional London living for over-65s. This landmark scheme represents a significant addition to high-quality later living accommodation in North London and is being delivered by leading industry partners including Wates Group.

Supporting Specialist Contractors on Complex Residential Schemes

Established in 2011, CIS operates predominantly in the South East of England within the HVAC insulation sector and is associated with NIS Group through common directorship, with offices in Newcastle, Glasgow, Leeds, Cardiff and London.

As part of this major residential development, CIS has engaged MAST Safety to provide professional Health & Safety consultancy support throughout the project lifecycle.

Our role includes:

  • Acting as Competent Person under health and safety legislation
  • Supporting compliance with CDM Regulations
  • Advising on risk assessments and method statements
  • Conducting site audits and inspections
  • Assisting with documentation and monitoring arrangements
  • Providing ongoing guidance to site teams and management

This appointment reflects CIS’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence on a high-profile construction scheme.

Delivering Safety in High-End Later Living Environments

Later living developments present unique health and safety considerations. Projects of this scale involve:

    • Multiple subcontractors and complex site coordination
    • Public-facing or sensitive residential environments
  • Enhanced fire safety and evacuation planning
  • Strict regulatory oversight
  • Elevated client expectations around quality and compliance

MAST Safety’s consultancy approach aligns with our core philosophy, as outlined on our Consultancy Services page,to become an integrated part of our client’s team rather than operating as a distant advisor.

We work collaboratively with contractors, principal contractors and designers to ensure that health and safety is embedded into daily operations, not treated as a box-ticking exercise.

Strengthening Our Presence in the Construction Sector

This latest appointment reinforces MAST Safety’s growing reputation within the construction industry. As highlighted in our Health and Safety Consultancy packages, our mission is to become the most trusted health & safety partner in construction — delivering practical, straight-talking advice that keeps projects compliant, safe, and on schedule.

From acting as Competent Person to supporting SSIP accreditations, risk assessments, site audits and training, we provide hands-on, proactive support tailored to the needs of modern construction businesses.

A Commitment to Long-Term Partnerships

We are proud to support CIS on this prestigious Hampstead development and look forward to contributing to the safe and successful delivery of this landmark later living residence.
