What is a Health & Safety consultancy package?
A Health & Safety consultancy package provides structured, ongoing access to professional Health & Safety support without the need to employ an in-house safety manager. With MAST Safety, this can include acting as your Competent Person, providing advice, audits, documentation support, and ongoing compliance guidance - depending on the package you choose.
What’s the difference between the Essential, Advanced and Premium packages?
The core inclusions are similar across all three - what changes is the level of support. Safe Essential covers the legal minimum with add-ons available. Safe Advanced adds a dedicated consultant, more advice time and included audits at discounted rates. Safe Premium builds in unlimited advice, out-of-hours cover and bundled audits and RAMS for higher-risk or multi-site businesses.
Do I legally need a Health & Safety consultant or Competent Person?
Every employer must appoint one or more competent persons under Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. You are not required to use a consultant, but appointing one is a practical, cost-effective way to meet that duty and reduce the risk of fines or enforcement action.
Can I upgrade or change packages later?
Yes. Your package can evolve with your business. As you take on more sites, staff or risk, you can move up a tier at any time, and we’ll adjust the scope of support accordingly.
Are the consultancy packages suitable for construction businesses?
Yes. Our packages were originally built around construction and civil engineering, and we support many contractors with audits, RAMS, CDM duties and SSIP accreditation - as well as offices, warehousing, manufacturing and facilities.
Will MAST Safety help with audits, documentation and accreditations?
Yes. Depending on your package, site audits and documentation are either available as add-ons, included, or bundled in. We also regularly help clients achieve and maintain CHAS, Constructionline, SMAS and SafeContractor.
