Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

1. Terms

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site. The material on this website is protected by copyright and trade mark law.

2. Use of this website

You are welcome to view, download and print material from this website for your own use, and to link to it. You may not:

  • Republish, sell or rent our material, or use it for a commercial purpose, without our written permission
  • Copy our material into another website or present it as your own
  • Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software on this website
  • Remove any copyright or other notice from material you have taken from it

Your permission to use the site ends if you use it in a way these terms do not allow.

3. Disclaimer

We take care over what we publish here, but the material on this website is general information rather than advice for your particular circumstances. Health and safety duties turn on the facts of a site, a project or an organisation, so please speak to us, or to another competent adviser, before acting on anything you read here.

Except as the law requires, we do not warrant that this website will be available uninterrupted, or that its content is accurate, complete or current.

4. Limitations of liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of data arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website.

Nothing in these terms affects your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5. Accuracy of materials

The material on this website may contain typographical or other errors. We may change it at any time without notice, and we do not undertake to keep it up to date.

Where we link to another website, we do so because we think it may be useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content. Following a link is at your own risk.

7. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms at any time. The version on this page is the one that applies.

8. Governing law

MAST Safety Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 14353855. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them.

Privacy Policy

This section explains what personal information this website collects, why, who it reaches and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers MAST Safety Ltd (company number 14353855) as the data controller. If you have a question about any of it, or want to make a request, email us at info@mastsafety.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

When you send us an enquiry. Our enquiry forms ask for your name, and for an email address or phone number so we can reply, whichever you choose. Depending on the form they also take your company name, the course you are asking about, your availability, roughly how many people you employ, and whatever you write in the message box. We use it to answer you and, if it leads somewhere, to arrange the work. Our basis for holding it is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract.

When you subscribe to the newsletter. We ask for your email address, and your name if you care to give it. We email you to confirm the address is yours, and you are not subscribed until you click the link in that email. Our basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link on every newsletter we send.

When we ask you for a review. If we have carried out work for you, a member of our team may email you to ask whether you would leave a Google review. That email uses your name, your company and your email address, taken from our record of the work.

When you simply browse. Our website host records the usual technical information needed to serve and protect a website, and our analytics tell us which pages are read. What analytics we set depends on the choices you make in the cookie banner, described below.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your information or pass it to anyone for their own marketing. We do rely on other companies to run the website and reply to you, and your information passes through them:

  • Postmark delivers our email, so an enquiry you send and any acknowledgement we send back passes through it.
  • Discord carries a copy of each enquiry into the private channel our team watches, so that nothing sent to us is missed. It holds your name, your contact details and what you wrote, and keeps them until we delete them.
  • Sendy, running on our own server, holds the newsletter list and sends the newsletter.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website and provides the Turnstile check that keeps automated spam off our forms.
  • Google provides Tag Manager and Analytics, and the map embedded on our contact page.
  • CookieScript records your cookie choices so we can honour them.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we may reasonably need them: to answer you, to carry out any work that follows, and afterwards for as long as our records of that work are kept. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Where information no longer serves a purpose we remove it.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or object to our holding it at all. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it. Email info@mastsafety.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab). We would rather you told us first, so we have the chance to put it right.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do with your information changes. The version on this page is the current one.

Cookies

  • Strictly necessary cookies. Strictly necessary cookies allow core website functionality such as user login and account management. The website cannot be used properly without strictly necessary cookies.
  • Performance cookies. Performance cookies are used to see how visitors use the website, eg. analytics cookies. Those cookies cannot be used to directly identify a certain visitor.

The cookies this site sets

Rather than describe our cookies in prose that quietly goes out of date, our consent manager scans this site and publishes what it finds. The table below is generated from that scan, so it lists what is genuinely in use today.

Changing your mind

Use the Manage cookies link in the footer to reopen the banner at any time and change what you have agreed to. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting ones already stored. Restricting them may affect how this or any other site behaves.

Let's make compliance one less thing to worry about.
