The HSA course with CSCS test package
This combined HSA course with CSCS test package allows delegates to complete both the CITB Health & Safety Awareness course and the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test for Operatives (HS&E Test) on the same day, at the same location. This provides a convenient route for those who need the full set of qualifications required to apply for the CSCS Green Labourer Card.

The CITB HS&E Operatives Test
This recognised multiple-choice test is required for all labourers applying for the CSCS Green Labourer Card. Taking the test at the same location as your HSA training makes the process faster and easier.
Due to CITB regulations, your CSCS test must be registered at least 48 hours before your course date. Delegates should also revise for the test element: CITB provides official preparation apps, CITB Op/Spec HS&E Test (opens in a new tab) for Apple devices and CITB Op/Spec (opens in a new tab) on Google Play. These revision tools significantly improve confidence and success rates on the day.

Successful delegates receive a CITB HSA certificate, valid for 5 years, and confirmation of passing the CITB HS&E Operatives Test, allowing them to proceed with the CSCS card application.
Applying for your CSCS card
MAST Safety cannot apply for CSCS cards on behalf of learners, and this package does not include the CSCS card application fee. Once you have:
- passed the CITB Health & Safety Awareness (HSA) course, and
- passed the CITB HS&E Operatives Test,
