In-House Training at Your Premises

When you have a group to train, bringing the trainer to you beats sending people out. Our trainers deliver at your premises, so your team stays on site, the day works around your operation, and the content uses your own workplace as the example rather than a generic classroom scenario.

Why in-house works out cheaper

The course fee is only part of what sending people out costs. Once you add travel expenses and the paid hours your team spends getting to a venue and back, individual places on a public course add up quickly, and every one of those costs multiplies by the number of people you send.

In-house reverses that. One trainer travels to you, and the cost is quoted for the group rather than per head plus expenses. Tell an advisor the course and roughly how many people you have, and they will tell you honestly whether in-house or individual places work out better for your numbers.

Less disruption, more training

Staff stay on site. There is no half-day lost to travel either side of the course, and your team remains reachable if something needs them. Sessions are scheduled around your operation, including shift patterns and quieter days, and where you cannot release everyone at once the same course can often run twice so the site keeps running.

  • No travel time or expenses for delegates
  • Staff on site and contactable through the day
  • Dates arranged around your shifts and workload
  • Larger teams split across repeat sessions
  • One point of contact for the whole booking
  • Certification handled exactly as a public course

Training that uses your workplace

This is the part a public course cannot offer. Delivered on your premises, the examples come from your building, your equipment and the risks your team actually meets, which makes the content land and stick. Where it is useful, the trainer can walk the site as part of the session.

What the trainer notices while they are with you is worth having too. It often feeds straight into your risk assessments and health and safety documentation, and for clients on a retained package it becomes part of the ongoing picture rather than a one-off observation.

What we can deliver in-house

Courses built around group delivery work best on site. Multi awareness training is the clearest example: five essential awareness subjects covered in a single day, each individually certified, which suits a whole team in one sitting. First aid, fire safety and awareness courses, manual handling, toolbox talks and site inductions all deliver well in-house too.

Accredited courses such as CITB Site Safety Plus and IOSH can also be arranged at your premises where the venue meets the awarding body’s requirements. Rather than promise that every course can run anywhere, a course advisor confirms exactly what is possible for the course and site you have in mind, and arranges a suitable venue nearby if yours does not qualify.

What you need to provide

Very little, and the advisor confirms the specifics per course before anything is booked:

  • A room large enough for the group to sit comfortably
  • Power, and a screen or clear wall for projection
  • Tables where the course includes written assessment
  • Somewhere for breaks, and access for the trainer on the day

If your space does not suit a particular course, say so early. An advisor will either adapt the arrangements or find a venue close to you instead.

How it works

  1. Tell us what you need

The course, roughly how many people, and any dates that are difficult. A rough number is enough to start.

  2. We confirm and quote

An advisor checks what can be delivered at your premises, confirms the requirements, and quotes for the group.

  3. We agree dates

Sessions are scheduled around your shifts and workload, including repeat sittings for larger teams.

  4. The trainer attends

Training is delivered at your site, and certification follows exactly as it would for a public course.

In-house training FAQs

How many people do we need for in-house training to be worthwhile?
It depends on the course. Because in-house is quoted for the group rather than per delegate, it usually becomes the cheaper option once you are training several people at once, and the saving grows with the size of the group. Tell an advisor the course and your numbers and they will tell you honestly whether in-house or individual places work out better for you.
Can accredited courses be delivered at our premises?
Often, yes. Accredited courses such as CITB Site Safety Plus and IOSH carry venue requirements set by the awarding body, so an advisor confirms what is possible for your site before anything is booked. Where your premises do not meet the criteria, they will arrange a suitable venue close to you instead.
What facilities do we need to provide?
A room large enough for the group, power, and a screen or clear wall for projection cover most courses, with tables where the course includes written assessment. The advisor confirms the specifics for your course in advance.
Can you train our team in more than one subject on the same visit?
Yes. Multi awareness training is built for exactly this, covering five essential awareness subjects in a single day with each subject individually certified. Other combinations can be arranged depending on the courses and the time available.
Do delegates get the same certification as a public course?
Yes. Where a course is accredited and delivered to the awarding body’s requirements, delegates receive the same certification they would attending a public course. Nothing about the certificate changes because the training happened at your premises.
Do you travel outside London for in-house training?
We deliver across London and the South East. If you are further afield, ask an advisor and they will tell you what is workable.
