CITB SSSTS Training for Construction Site Supervisors
2-day course | Classroom | Certificate valid 5 years
The CITB Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is a nationally recognised qualification designed for supervisors and those preparing to move into a supervisory role within the construction industry. The course provides a clear understanding of health and safety responsibilities, helping supervisors contribute effectively to safe, compliant site operations.
SSSTS focuses on the practical application of health and safety law on site, equipping delegates with the knowledge and confidence to supervise work safely, communicate expectations clearly, and take appropriate action when unsafe conditions or behaviour are identified.
Who Is the SSSTS Course For?
This course is ideal for:
- Site supervisors
- Team leaders and gangers
- Foremen

SSSTS is often a minimum requirement set by principal contractors for supervisory roles and is a key progression step between operative-level training and site management qualifications such as SMSTS.
